Ghanaian Acrobats Earn Guinness World Record
Press Release - August 2011

The all-expenses paid trip brought acrobats, Richard Ofori Mensah and Daniel Ashitey, with their manager Robert Asare to perform live on television in Milano, Italy. From there they were brought to the Mediadet Studios N.20, Cinelandia Street 5 in Cologno Monzese, where the performance would take place. The TV show is called "Lo Show dei Record" (Guinness rd. 2011).

During their four-day trip, they were busy training but also had the chance to meet other record-seekers, including the world's shortest woman, most tattooed man and other amazing individuals.

On April 27, 2011, they had their chance to perform. With Ashitey balancing on top of his head, Mensah walked up and down 10 steps within 21.83 seconds. This unique stunt earned the two a new Guiness World Record. The 2011 Italian record is officially titled: "PIU' STEPS IIN EQUILIBRIO SULLA TESTA" , for fastest time to walk over ten obstacles while carrying a person on the head (standing on one foot).

With this successful trip behind them, the acrobats are continuing to train and invent imaginative stunts. They plan to continue to travel, to perform and to teach, and they hope to earn more world records in the coming years.
